The earliest days with a new baby rarely follow a schedule — which is exactly why newborn sessions with Family Frames happen at home. There's no travel, no studio to get to, and nothing to perform. Your baby stays in the place where they're most settled, and the photographs simply follow.

The approach is the same natural, documentary style found across every Family Frames home session: honest, unforced images of your family as you are right now. Rather than posing your baby into props or arranged setups, I work gently and quietly around your baby's own rhythm — feeds, naps, cuddles and quiet pauses all belong in the story.

Sessions are photographed by Cam Harle, a portrait photographer with over 10 years' experience and a board member of the Association of Professional Headshot Photographers, whose work under Cam Harle Photo holds 300+ five-star Google reviews.

Sessions are £500, including 10 fully retouched images. The price is the same whether you choose the studio, your home or an outdoor location, so you can pick purely on what feels right for your family.

A Calm, Unhurried Newborn Session

Home sessions are designed to feel calm, familiar, and unhurried. Photographing families in their own space allows children to settle quickly and adults to feel comfortable — and with a newborn, that matters more than ever. I work gently and intuitively, following the rhythm of your home rather than imposing structure, so if your baby needs to feed or sleep, the session simply works around them.

Yes — home sessions are ideal for newborns and very young children. Studio sessions begin from around age two, so home is the natural choice for the earliest days, and I'm very happy to document newborn life at home.

There's no cut-off to worry about. Home sessions suit newborns and very young children at whatever stage you're at — the aim is to document your family as it really is, not to hit a particular week. Once children are around age two, the studio becomes an option as well.

Sessions allow up to two hours, and that time is deliberately unhurried. There's no rushing, and plenty of time for breaks — feeds, naps and changes simply become part of the session rather than interruptions to it.

The approach here is documentary rather than posed. Instead of arranged setups, I offer gentle guidance without rigid posing, following the rhythm of your home and photographing your baby as they really are.

Yes to both. Family life includes everyone, so older siblings are very welcome, and if your pets are part of the family, they belong in the frame.

Home sessions take place anywhere in London. Family Frames is based at 34 Belsize Park, London NW3 4DX, and the areas we serve include Belsize Park, Hampstead, Camden, Primrose Hill, Islington and North London.
